Working Together to Realize the Growth Potential of Israeli Airlines

First, I would like to thank Captain Meidan Barr, the outgoing Association Chairman, for eight successful and productive years in office. His tenure brought numerous achievements for the Association and for all Israeli pilots, and we wish him the best of luck on his new path.

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me by electing me to this position. I hope to serve the commercial and civil pilot community in Israel to the best of my ability, and to remain attentive and accessible to each one of you.

The complex geopolitical reality presents us with quite a few challenges, alongside a long list of issues awaiting our attention, including the upcoming elections and the security situation. I will do everything to ensure that even during this complex period, we continue to maintain our professional standing, and we will expand our cooperation with elected officials to bring them closer to the world of aviation.

Aviation in Israel is a strategic asset, and it must be treated and managed as such. The growth potential of Israeli airlines is immense, and we will work hand in hand with them to realize it. Ultimately, every growing airline brings with it more pilots joining the industry.

Looking at the broader picture, we view our cooperation with the private and sports aviation communities, UAS operators, and other entities as a cornerstone in building an educational and training infrastructure that will cultivate generations of blue-and-white pilots.

In the upcoming issues, we will elaborate on the challenges we face as members of the European and international associations. Perhaps one day we will also get to see a broad regional association in our "neighborhood" after all, aviation is a unifying and apolitical profession.
