Pilots for a Day

The pilots of the "Ananim Association", led by Shimon Shay, who operate year-round from the Rishon LeZion Airfield, decided to organize a special day of fun and aviation for disabled Israel Defense Forces veterans from Beit Halochem in Be’er Sheva.
Approximately fifteen owners of private aircraft and their volunteer pilots took part in the initiative, flying south to the Masada Airfield, where members of Beit Halochem were already waiting for them.
One by one, the participants climbed into the cockpits and enjoyed an unforgettable flight over the breathtaking landscapes of the Dead Sea. Flying at low altitude, they experienced the unique beauty of one of Israel’s most spectacular regions from a perspective few ever have the opportunity to enjoy.
After landing, the participants were greeted by tables laden with food, refreshments, and additional treats, providing a fitting conclusion to a day dedicated entirely to enjoyment, camaraderie, and the joy of flight.
